Feng Shui and Garden, what is that?

According to Feng Shui your garden too can be used to attract Chi to your house, which will increase your good fortune and wealth. The same principles of Feng Shui that are applied to your house are applied to your garden. The basic principles of the five elements, the Bagwa, the importance of compass directions and the basic remedies of Feng Shui apply to your garden as well. The garden is considered Yin and your home Yang, so the effect that your house and garden together create should be balanced. The flowerbeds and paths in the garden should be curved in order to counter the straight lines and angles of the house. The most important thing is that your garden and house should suggest a balance between Yin and Yang.
Balance in the garden can be achieved by using contrasting material like rough rocks and a smooth water pond. This contrast also signifies the balance between stillness (rocks) and movement (water). If your garden is too small for a water pond, you can use a birdbath or fountain instead. Water attracts positive energy and water is symbolic of wealth. If you have a water source in your garden clean it at regular intervals. If it has a leak plug it immediately as it will cause wealth to be drained away from your house. Use plants with thick fleshy leaves in your garden. Do not use plants with spikes or sharp leaves in your garden as they create negative energy that can lead to tension in the household. Plant colorful flowers in your garden through out the year as they attract positive energy. (from: www.indobase.com)

Everything abour buying man suits…
Man fashion suit is one such wardrobe that can be found in every man’s cupboard. This dress can elegantly sail from business meetings to cocktails to wedding parties. Till quite a few years, men used to go in for custom suits that are specially tailored. But now the trend is moving towards ready-made suits. They appear to be a better deal, as they are less expensive and hassle free. There are a variety of haute couture man fashion suit styles flooded in the designer showrooms. Jacket style suits are in vogue. Buying man suit can be challenging so here are some man suit fashion tips:
- Out of the diverse range, all are not quality suits. Therefore, it becomes of vital importance to possess knowledge about the fabric.
- Buy something that goes in accordance with your personal taste. When you’ll go shopping a suit, the exotic varieties they’ll show you, you’re bound to be in dilemma.
- Jacket can be single or double breast. If you are fit, then double breast is just apt for you. But if you are overweight, then going in for single style jacket that doesn’t fold would be a better option. But the latest fashion is of single jackets even among thin people owing to its sleek look.
- The right collar style is the one that is touching your neck from the back but doesn’t encroach upon the shirt collar. There should be a gap of 1 inch between your shirt collar and suit collar.
- Shoulder pads should stand out stiff to give you the perfect look.
- The sleeves of the suit must be long enough bedecking your wrist. Your shirt length should be more than that of your suit jacket.
- Stitching threads should not show on your suit.
- Always try your suit before buying to see if there is a free movement or not.
- Jackets come up with different buttons. You can have 2 buttons or 3-4-button jacket but the hottest jacket style is the one with three buttons.
- As far as slits are concerned, the best option for thinner men is no slit and for the bulky ones, the better option is two slits.
- As important is the jacket in suit fitting, equally vital is pant. For correct waist size, ensure that there should be at least a space of two fingers.
- Pleated trousers have always been in fashion but the latest fashion is of flat-front pants. Cuffed trousers are just perfect for taller men. But for shorter ones, it’s a no.
Next time you go shopping for the suit, keep these tips in mind and make a conscious decision. (from: www.indobase.com)
Sugar..oh..sugar… (Hate Sugar!!!)
September 22, 2008 at 3:15 pm | Posted in healthy living | Leave a commentTags: cheese, doctor, Family, health, healthy, healthy living, lifestyle, milk, sugar, teeth, yogurt
Each time you eat a snack containing sugar or starch (carbohydrates), the resulting acid attack on your teeth can last up to 20 minutes, and a lot of snacks and drinks contain sugar. How much sugar? A single can of pop contains up to 10 teaspoons of sugar, and if you think that natural sugar (like the sugar in raisins or other fruit) is better for your teeth it’s not. Sugar is sugar, and the average Canadian consumes over 40 kilograms of sugar each year!
How can you defeat the sugar bug?
Beat the Clock – foods that are eaten during a meal usually pose less of a threat to teeth because of the additional saliva produced during mealtime eating. Saliva helps to wash food particles from your mouth and lessen the damage from acid.
Brush & floss those teeth – toothbrushing is important, and you should brush twice a day. Did you know that if you don’t floss, you miss cleaning up to 35% of each tooth? If you’re not sure how to floss, just ask your dentist.
Stock up on Dairy Products – yogurt and cheese, milk and milk products contain things that are good for your teeth. Everything that’s made from milk is a good source of calcium – an essential nutrient for the development of bones and teeth. Some scientific studies have shown that eating cheese might actually help to protect your teeth from cavities by preventing something called demineralization (the loss of important calcium in your teeth). In this groundbreaking 3-D animated adventure, three young flies set off on a courageous mission to become the first insects on the moon by hitching a ride on the historic Apollo 11 space flight. Based on the actual transcripts and the original blueprints from NASA, the film’s stunning visuals and meticulous attention to detail introduce a whole new generation to the awe-inspiring achievements of the space program’s most momentous mission. The year is 1969 and like everyone else in the world, Nat (Trevor Gagnon) and his pals IQ (Philip Daniel Bolden) and Scooter (David Gore) are abuzz over the upcoming launch of the first manned mission to the moon. Inspired by his Grandpa’s (Christopher Lloyd) oft-told tale of hiding aboard Amelia Earhart’s plane during her famed solo cross-Atlantic flight, Nat hatches a secret plan for the three young flies to stow away on the Apollo 11 rocket. The hard part is keeping the plan secret from his mom, Mrs. McFly (Kelly Ripa)! When a N.A.S.A. Ground Control official catches sight of the three winged stowaways, he instructs the astronauts to store them in a test tube for later study. But after an electrical short causes the ship’s engine to malfunction, the three intrepid insects manage to escape from their glass mini-brig just in time to discover the wiring problem and fix it. After a difficult lunar landing, Nat tags along with Neil Armstrong on his legendary moon walk. Although the flies face a few more close calls, the mission appears to be a success. At least until Grandpa’s old flame Nadia (Nicolette Sheridan) arrives from Russia to warn him that her government, angry over losing the space race, has dispatched fly-spy Yegor (Tim Curry) to Cape Canaveral to sabotage the computer flight plans. With the Apollo hurtling toward Earth, it falls to Nat’s family to save the mission—and the trio of brave flies—from disaster. (from: www.apple.com)
